REWIND: Gorky's Zycotic Mynci - 'Let's Get Together (In Our Minds)'

One of my favourite songs from the late 90s, a track by the wonderful Gorky's Zycotic Mynci. Hailing from Carmathen in West Wales, the band were active from 1991 until 2006 and released eight studio albums. I first heard them on a free CD I got with Select magazine in 1997 which featured their track 'Blood Chant'. When they released their 'Gorky 5' album in 1998, the singles 'Sweet Johnny' and the stunning 'Let's Get Together (In Our Minds)' were often played on Radio 1's Evening Session, leading to me becoming a fan of the band's music. This song has to be one of the most underrated songs of the decade, and deserves a lot more attention than it received. It just missed out on the Top 40, reaching number 43. Frontman Euros Childs now releases solo material on his own National Elf label, and the superb 'Tête-à-Tête' was featured as Track Of The Day on my other site RW/FF a couple of years back HERE.
